LA FUNCIÓN POLÍTICA DE LA MEMORIA: ¿UNA CATEGORÍA OLVIDADA?

Abstract

The main goal of this article is to provide conceptual contributions to widen the scope of the reflections and constructs that take place in the theoretical framework of pedagogy.

We investigate and analyze the concept of memory as an identitarian, subjective and collective construction.

From a critical standpoint that allow us to inquire about the political function of memory, we propose the concept of “desmemoriar” as an hegemonic strategy capable of building single and official memories.

We promote a denaturalized view which can be useful to recognize and unveil knowledge, experiences and representations that can give way to the emergence of silenced memories.
