PROPAGANDA EN REDES SOCIALES DURANTE LAS CAMPAÑAS ELECTORALES ARGENTINAS: ¿UN PROBLEMA PARA LA LIBERTAD DE EXPRESIÓN?

This paper aims to analyze how political propaganda on social media can affect freedom of expression if there are no regulations in this field.
For this analysis, on the one hand, some specialized bibliography on media and democratic processes is reviewed; and on the other hand, what happened in the campaign for the 2021 Primary, Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory (PASO) legislative elections in the Argentina is considered as an object of study.
Based on this analysis, is proposed the need for states to be able to regulate their use in pursuit of freedom of expression and, ultimately, democracy.
