This research is of a correlational type, since it tries to verify the hypothesis that when a person practices assertive communication, they have a high perception of success.
The population consisted of all the professors and students of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences and the Faculty of Human and Educational Sciences of the University of Boyacá.
A sample was calculated for students of n = 198, with a population N = 405, a margin of error of 5% and a reliability level of 95%. Finally, about the correlation between the two variables, the correlation exists, although it is not strong.
